CASE STUDY IN ACTION: THE FORWARD PROJECT

How Purpose Possible scales impact for major brands.

Contact us today to discuss how we can support your organizations CSR work.

When local brand Mailchimp (now Intuit) wanted to deepen its commitment to equity, they turned to Purpose Possible to co-create and launch The Forward Project.

This initiative invested heavily in local, Black-led organizations, combining multi-year financial backing with rigorous capacity building. We helped a major brand transform a corporate value statement into a measurable, sustainable, and highly publicized community success story.

We bring this exact framework and rigor to growing businesses.

  • $750,000 investment targeting traditionally overlooked social enterprises in metro Atlanta.

  • $200,000 in unrestricted grants to 3 awardee organizations: College AIM, The Counter Narrative Project, and Hand, Heart and Soul Project / Little Ones Learning Center.

  • $5,000 to $11,000 to 12 additional finalist organizations to accelerate their community impact.

  • A comprehensive vetting process utilizing a 14-member investment committee consisting of local artists, small business owners, and nonprofit leaders.

  • While Mailchimp provided the essential capital, Purpose Possible helped to ensure sustainable growth, acting as the strategic infrastructure partner to build operational capacity.

  • Purpose Possible delivered advisory services to the awardees across key business verticals—including fundraising, business development, communications, and hiring—allowing the organizations to scale with executive-level guidance.
